Travelling essentials

Hey lovelies

This weekend me and my family went to this event called Indofest which takes place in Nottingham. As you could have guessed it is indeed a festival that highlights Indonesian culture; especially its food! My outfit wasn't too interesting as the weather was not too great so I had to stick with simple basic pieces. Therefore I thought I'd share my essentials when travelling.

My phone is first on the list, I can't leave the house without my phone and I pretty much have everything on my phone so forgetting my phone would be equivalent to death for me haha

Also headphone is a must! Especially when you have younger siblings who you'd like to block out haha oops, or just simply if you don't like chart music played on the radio, I know that we all like our own music preference and when there are a lot I people with different music preferences, listening to your own music is the solution.

Car journey can get a little bit boring so I like to bring a book to read throughout the journey.

Mini makeup bag is something rather important to me as I get really bad bags under my eyes when I'm tired and travelling tire me up so it's great to just touch up before going to that specific events or occasion.

Snacks and drinks! You just cannot forget the food, they're the only thing that keeps me going when travelling because oh god, I get ridiculously hungry when I'm bored.

But the most important thing for me is coffee. I just have to have them. I usually bring some from home for the journey and get more when I get there, oops coffee addict right here.

Living on the edge

Hey lovelies

I am back with an OOTD! I absolutely love the edgy and grunge look, something about it just appeals to me.

Yes, I know. It's spring and I know I should be wearing more brighter colours but today's weather was a bit crap, the sun was nowhere to be seen and it was just very gloomy so i matched my outfit with the weather, oops.

I am literally wearing black from head to toe and surprisingly, i didn't feel hot at all. That might be caused by the typical English weather but it's also because of the types of material i chose to wear. If you're like me who is very comfortable wearing the colour black, who is most confident when wearing the colour black but feel like you can NOT wear it throughout the summer due to the weather that is very warm which means that the colour black is not appropriate to wear as it will absorb all the sunlight, try to choose the right material; something flowy, lightweight and not too tight

I love this outfit because the top half is very loose and comfortable. The crop top that i'm wearing is from H&M at a ridiculously cheap price; 3.99. They come in 3 different colours; black, white and grey, i highly recommend you to buy it because i literally live in them, i can guarantee that you will get so much wear out of it as they are so easy to style. The material itself is quite stretchy which i love because it means that its easier to move around.

I threw a flannel over the top and i choose to wear an oversized flannel as it adds that laid back and casual look especially as i wore it quite loose and  rolled up the sleeves. I also comes in handy when the weather is getting colder. The material is very lightweight and you can find many flannels everywhere, charity shops are great if you're in desperate need of them as i'm sure you will be able to find some there at a cheaper price.

I know i said materials that are not too tight, well you'll have to excuse my black skinny jeans for this one as  the material is rather stretchy. I love it so much, they just go with everything.

I incorporated quite a lot of accessories for this outfit. My choker and necklace adds that edginess which is the aim of this whole outfit. My rings are all silver as i feel like silver jewellery goes with black perfectly. also feel like my shoes adds a little bit of edginess but still summery as it allows to show a little bit of your skin.
